All actors need to take a 'fundamentals of the voice' class at some point in their training. This class is designed for actors of all abilities and will begin with warm-ups and exercises meant to encourage focus, build awareness and develop voice skills for all acting mediums, including stage, on-camera, radio, and improv.
Topics will include Breathing and Support, Alignment and Posture, Resonance and Projection, Inflection and Intonation, and Rhythm and Articulation. We’ll also touch on vocal health and hygiene and other voice topics as needed.

Students will learn how to become less predictable and more surprising: Students will develop simple and fun tools that they can immediately use to transform their behavior and give their characters more dimension.
Students will learn to develop emotional and physical freedom: Hint: this one tactic will have you living in “the moment” more than ever.
Students will discover how to own every line they say utilizing a fun and unique exercise that teaches actors to breathe life into any script thrown their way.

Big shout out to BDS student Walter Anaruk who has had a massive string of success over the last few months:
Walter just wrapped principle photography with a supporting role for the feature length film, “Stadium Anthems”. He landed a supporting role in the Sundance Lab feature, “Amateur” which has already been sold to Netflix. Walter has been cast in several commercials, including roles for Naked Juice, McDonald Hyundai and Colorado Department of Public Health. Actors and everyday people make money using their voices. Find out if you have what it takes to be a voice over artist. Students will learn the fundamentals of voice over work including cold reading, breathing, projecting, text interpretation, vocal variety, as well as an overview of the voice over industry.
