IMPROV CAMP! Taught with Michael Collins
(5 Classes with a Performance on Day 6)
This NEW BDS camp taught by Denver’s expert teacher, Michael Collins, (Bio is located below) is being offered twice during the summer! This 6 day Improv camp will meet daily for 5 consecutive classes, Mon-Fri culminating with a Saturday performance for friends and family! Our NEW Improv Camps are designed to covertly teach the kids social and emotional learning (SEL) which involves the processes through which children acquire and effectively apply knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, and Self Awareness which is all about teaching the kids to have a clear perception of their personality, including strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, motivation, and emotions. Self Awareness allows you to understand other people, how they perceive you, your attitude and your responses to them in the moment. The great part about this class is that these concepts are wrapped around a super fun, improv game oriented class. This will be a super fun and challenging 6 day camp, focusing on really living truthfully in the moment, having a blast, and using the form of Improv to help improve the actors skill sets.
August 4th-8th with a performance for family and friends on August 9th.
Clases will be from 1:00-4:00 pm – $225
Currently accepting new students, no prior class experience necessary. Space is limited, register soon to reserve your spot in class.
