Linda Swanson Brown
BDS Student Linda Swanson Brown has an incredible couple months coming up!
She recently started working on a meaningful project with fellow powerhouse BDS students Andy Hankins and director/actor Jim Sea in a film about the Occupy Movement. They will be filming a pitch scene in order to help raise funds for the full length feature, slated to shoot in 2014.
She is also currently rehearsing the bizarrely entertaining and funny "’Bat Boy the Musical’ at the Bug Theater put on by the Equinox Theater Company. The Musical is a comedy horror show that follows the adventures of a half boy/half bat trying to live a normal life. The classic creature was made popular by the tabloid, The Weekly World News. She is joining the cast with fellow BDS theater all-stars, Tom Auclair and James Crapes.
However, she doesn’t stop there! Linda is also heading into rehearsals for the Rogers and Hammerstein classic, ‘South Pacific’ put on by the Performance Now Theatre Company, literally starting rehearsals only a week after ‘Bat Boy’ opens!
She has also been invited to perform with One Night Stand Theatre Company performing at the Vintage Theater on February 10th! One Night Stand Theater is a “truly off-beat experience” in stage performances, offering shows on a limited-run release built around diverse themes both classical and relevant in nature.
Congrats Linda, we are thrilled that you continue to take to the stage with such a passion, fervor and drive!
‘Bat Boy The Musical’ opens Friday March 8th at the Bug Theater
